eSIM is an electronic card and is identical in its functionality with the SIM-card. It is built into the mobile device and unlike the physical SIM-card has no plastic body.
eSIM card lets you make calls, send SMS, browse the Internet, and do everything that you normally do. In case your device supports eSIM technology, it can be turned on any time.
Switching from physical SIM-card to an eSIM is available when activating whether current or new phone numbers for both postpaid and prepaid subscribers.
In case of a current subscription the replacement of the SIM-card with an eSIM is AMD 500 (VAT included) for prepaid and postpaid subscribers; in case of new subscription the subscriber only pays the fee of the selected tariff plan.
eSIM-card activation is possible with a QR-code sent to your email, or handed over in paper. In case of changing the mobile device the eSIM profile shall be removed from the old device and the same QR-code shall be used in the new device to re-activate the profile on the new device.
eSIM-card can be activated at any Viva-MTS service center having with you an ID.
The eSIM provides all the services available with a physical SIM-card.
The QR-code intended for one eSIM-card can be used for one subscription.
In case an email has been verified at activating a eSIM-card, the QR-code can be restored on the same email address by:
contacting the call center at number 111;
contacting our operators on “111 online” page on “Internet Assistant” portal; or
visiting any service center.
